SAMBA : As part of ‘Oral Health Week Celebration’ a dental awareness camp was organised at MV International School today.
On the instruction of Dr. Rakesh K Gupta, Principal, Indira Gandhi Government Dental College Jammu, Dr. Iqbal Singh, HOD-Department of Public Health Dentistry along with his team, conducted ‘Dental Health Screening’ of students of the school.
Dr Ankita Gupta, Registrar conducted training session for the teachers to aware them about the correct ways of brushing and dental hygiene.
This program is being conducted in Jammu province with theme “Be Proud of Your Mouth”, under the directions of Health Ministry- Health and Medical Education, Government of J&K UT & Dental Council of India.
Students and teachers of the school were made aware of importance of good oral hygiene and ill effects of tobacco use.
The students were advised individually for further investigation, if required, on case to case basis.
