REASI: Aam Aadmi Party organized a road show and public rally at Reasi, which was attended by a number of people, including prominent civil society members, social activists and PRIs who joined the party.
The event was organised under the leadership of Balwant Singh Mankotia and District President AAP, Naresh Kesar. It started with a road show from Bus Stand Reasi to Garden Estate Marriage Hall.
Kewal Singh, BDC Chairman; Sham Bhagat, BDC Chairman; Mohammad Razak, BDC Chairman, Rajinder Singh, Sonu Thakur, Sarpanch GM Malik, Sarpanch Mohd Aslam, Sarpanch Ayan Malik and others were among those who joined the event.
Speakers on this occasion underlined development deficit in Jammu and Kashmir stating that tall claims made on papers are contrary to field situation where people are even deprived of basic amenities.
Addressing the gathering, former Legislator and AAP leader Balwant Singh Mankotia said that hundreds of daily wagers working in different departments of Jammu and Kashmir are worst victims of anti people policies of Governments of different political parties that ruled over Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that plight of daily wagers can be gauged from a fact that whenever any daily wager or any other unregularised worker of Power Department suffers electrocution, he is left on the mercy of God and only thing that he receives is some aid that too from employees of department who donate from their pockets.
Mankotia further stated that despite tall claims made time and again and multiple committees framed year by year, regularisation of daily wagers is still a distant dream in J&K.
He further said AAP will leave no stone upturned in forcing present Jammu and Kashmir Government under Lieutenant Governor administration to regularise the daily wagers of all departments.
He also said that development model of AAP, headed by Arvind Kejriwal is connected with life of every common man and this is the reason that party is receiving massive response from people from all corners of Jammu and Kashmir.
“In every corner of Jammu and Kashmir, we are receiving public communications to host rallies and soon a wave of political reforms will be seen across entire Jammu and Kashmir in the banner of AAP.” he added.
