Man booked for demanding dowry, beating wife.

JAMMU: Women Cell Police of Jammu booked a man for demanding dowry and beating his wife mercilessly.

As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by a lady with Police Station Women Cell Jammu stating that her husband identified as Raj Kumar, son of Sewa Ram, a resident of Rani Talab Digiana District Jammu demands dowry and also beat her mercilessly under the influence of liquor on regular basis.

Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 60/2021 under Sections 498-A, 323, 504 and 506 IPC has been registered against the man at Police Station Women Cell Jammu and investigation started.
