Our Hindutva isn’t about revenge, says Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray after meeting KCR

Maharashtra  CM Uddhav Thackeray hosted Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao at Varsha, his official residence in Mumbai on Sunday. The two also held a joint press conference before KCR’s meeting with NCP chief Sharad Pawar.

Telangana CM KCR was accompanied on his visit to Mumbai by Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leaders, including his daughter and MLC Kavitha Kalvakuntla. Also present during the meeting between the two chief ministers were Shiv Sena leaders Sanjay Raut and Arvind Sawant, as well as actor Prakash Raj.

A range of issues, including irrigation projects like Babhli Dam, Tummidi Hatti, Medigadda barrage and Chanaka-Korata barrage, were discussed during the meeting between CM Uddhav Thackeray and CM KCR.

Various schemes and projects in the field of industry and infrastructure in both the states were also discussed. Inter-state cooperation in irrigation projects and its various provisions were also discussed in detail,” said a statement issued by the Maharashtra Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).

Telangana CM KCR, a vocal critic of the BJP who has been calling for an anti-BJP front, asserted that his meeting with Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray was fruitful and that both leaders had reached a consensus on a number of issues of national importance.

Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray, addressing a joint press conference with KCR, said, “An initiative had to be taken which is why this meeting took place, to chalk out future strategies. This effort will take time and a lot of hard work. More effort will be needed.

Without naming the BJP, Uddhav Thackeray said, “Our Hindutva is not like this, not like one that revolves around revenge. Some people only work for their agendas,even at the cost of the country.

“We have to bring our country on the right path. Who will be the PM will be can be discussed later. We will meet many political leaders from today onwards.”

Need to change manner in which country is being run: KCR

Addressing the same joint press conference, KCR said, “I felt very happy to meet Uddhav ji. We spoke about a number of issues such as how to bring about development, speed up progress and bring about structural changes.
