Bharti Foundation facilitates educational exchange between the Army Goodwill Schools and the Department of Education, Govt of Delhi

SRINAGAR: Bharti foundation, the philanthropic arm of Bharti Enterprises under its ‘Quality Support Program’,facilitated educational exchange between mentor teachers, Delhi Government Schools and Army Goodwill Schools situated in the valley.

The visit was specifically aimed at enlarging the horizons and to absorb each other’s energy, education philosophies and best practices.
The exchange program was aimed to undertake a meaningful interaction between Mentor Teachers of Delhi Government School and those of the Army Goodwill schools.

Two groups of 30 teachers each, visited Army Goodwill School Hanzik & Army Goodwill Public School Pahalgam wherein the Mentor Teachers from Delhi Government Schools got a chance to connect and interact with the school teachers and students of the said schools and understand the school dynamics.

First group underwent the exchange program from 12th-14th March 2022 and the second group completed the visit from 22nd-24th March 2022.

The whole knowledge exchange program was designed in such a way that best of experiences is attained from learnings and challenges from different practices adopted by educators from both states
Speaking on the occasion, Sanjay Subhas Kimar, DDE Exam said, “We are very happy to see the contribution that Bharti Foundation is making through their programs to support education in the country.”

Further Dr Dinesh Kumar, Principal DIET, RK Puram said, “We feel highly grateful towards Indian Army under whose ambit are the Army Goodwill Schools successfully imparting quality education to the students.”

Marking the occasion Mamta Saikia, CEO, Bharti Foundation, said, “Our focus is to bridge the education divide by creating programmes in rural India that bring about sustainable change through quality education.

This exchange will help mentor teachers at Delhi Government schools and Army Goodwill School teachers realise the challenges faced in effective teaching learning, share their experience and learnings of educational practices.

I express my heartfelt gratitude to the Government of Delhi and teachers from AGS for coming forth and sharing their life experiences.

The two-way knowledge exchange between mentor teachers of Delhi Government Schools and the Army Goodwill Schools was designed in such a way that both groups were provided a platform to learn from each other’s environmental and educational challenges which included learning, cross sharing, best practices and guidance on studies; and to create enduring human bonds between individuals that would contribute towards mainstreaming alienated citizens.

Bharti Foundation consistently works to realize its vision, mission and goals in collaboration and partnership with its stakeholders, including government, corporate sector and rural community and is closely working in partnership with HQNC in UTJK and Ladakh supporting all Army Goodwill Schools in and around the valley.
