AMRITSAR: The Border Security Force (BSF) on Friday shot down a drone while it was entering from Pakistan into Indian territory near Dhanoe Kalan village in Punjab’s Amritsar Sector.

The black colour quadcopter recovered by the BSF was a ‘Made in China’ DJI Matrice – 300 drone, it said.

The BSF troops deployed at the border heard a buzzing sound at around 1.15 am of a suspected flying object or drone entering from the Pakistani side into the Indian territory.

Hearing the sound, the troops tried to intercept the object by firing and bringing it down.

Following shooting down the drone, the BSF troops cordoned off the whole area and informed Police and concerned sister agencies. “Further, intensive search of the depth area was carried out & at about 6:15 am, troops recovered a black coloured Quadcopter, “Made in China”, Model-DJI Matrice – 300″ near Dhanoe Kalan,” the BSF said.
