Issuing their customary team of the season list, Cricket Australia put all performances into consideration as they released their Test team of the Year 2021 on cricket.com.au

In the list, Sri Lanka’s Dimuth Karunaratne was picked as the skipper of the team, while a total of four Indians made the cut. As many as three Pakistani cricketers also found a place in the team while Marnus Labuschagne was the only Australian in the XI
