It involves celebrating the home planet and taking steps towards caring and tending to its needs and well being.

GCET Jammu celebrated the day by organizing a seminar based on the theme “For Mother Earth Pollution is Not a Solution”. Around 60 students from different streams witnessed the event and out of them nine students spoke on the theme of the event.

Both the events were organized by senior NSS volunteers Mandeep Singh, Paras Gupta, Sunidhi Sharma, Jaanvi Sharma, Nikansh Panotra and Rohit Kumar under the guidance of Dr. Raman Gupta, Programme Officer NSS.

He also said that in today’s time, with more and more young climate activists raising their voices, climate change trends being studied in greater detail and world leaders taking conscious steps to cut down on emissions, Earth Day helps to reflect on all the things done and the road that lies ahead.
