New Delhi: High cholesterol is a condition characterised by abnormally high levels of cholesterol – a waxy substance in the blood – that threatens heart health. This may trigger plaque accumulation in the arteries that could raise the risk of a heart attack, stroke, or chronic heart disease. High cholesterol is often called a silent killer as it silently develops inside without showing any prominent signs – not until it is too late. However, for those aged 45 and above, there is a peculiar symptom of high cholesterol that may appear in the eyes.
