Pakistani terrorist living with fake ID arrested in Delhi; AK-47, hand grenade recovered

APakistani terrorist was arrested by the Delhi Police Special Cell on Tuesday in the Laxmi Nagar area of the national capital.

He was living with a fake identity on forged documents. An AK-47 and a hand grenade have been recovered.

The terrorist, identified as Mohammad Asraf, was living as a maulana in Delhi. He lived as a maulana in various other cities.

He has been in touch with the terror outfit ISI, according to sources. The arrested terrorist has also claimed to have stayed for a few days in Kashmir. However, the police are verifying this claim.

The police have claimed that Ashraf has been continuously misleading the investigation.

The arrest comes at a time when the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday raided 16 locations across Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) and other major cities as part of its crackdown against terrorists after the recent civilian killings in Kashmir.

Further investigation is underway.
