RAMBAN: Sub-Division Level Forest Rights Act Committee today discussed Forest Rights Claims at its meeting chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Harbans Lal Sharma.
The ADDC, who is the chairman of SDL discussed the received cases thoroughly and recommended to the District Level Forest Rights committee for approval.
The nominated members of the Committee including BDC, Chairperson, Batote, Rajeshwar Kumar, BDC, Chairperson, Ramban , Amjid Ali, BDO Ramban, Vishal Atri, Sarpanch, Parnote, Kailash Devi, Range Officers of Gandhari, Batote and Ramban attended the meeting.
The Committee also met with the Deputy Commissioner, Mussarat Islam to discuss issues pertaining to the process.
The DC, who is the chairperson of the District Level Committee, apprised the members about provisions of the Act and directed SDMs of Gool, Banihal and Ramsu to expedite the process to clear the Forest Rights claims of deserving people.
Earlier, after taking stock of progress on finalization of cases at Forest Right Committee level, the ADC directed all 49 FRCs of Sub-division Ramban to finalize the cases at their level and submit the same to the Sub-Division Level Committee for verification and further submission to the District Level Committee.
