Sarabjit’s medical check-up was done at the Civil Hospital. The Crime Branch team will present Nihang Sardar Sarabjit Singh in court on Saturday afternoon.

The Crime Branch team may seek Nihang Sardar on police remand.

Lakhbir Singh (35) was brutally murdered at the Singhu border outside Delhi. Lakhbir Singh had come to the Singhu border three days before his murder and had been staying in the Nihang camp near the first stage closest to the Delhi border. On Friday, he was accused of desecrating the Nihangs’ holy book, Sarbaloh Granth. Soon a ruckus ensued, resulting in violence and Lakhbir’s hand was chopped off. He was left there to die. Later, his body was tied to a barricade.

Lakhbir Singh was a resident of the Cheema Khurd village in Tarn Taran in Punjab and is survived by his wife and three children aged 8, 10 and 12.
