UDHAMPUR: Taking into account of emerging challenges of drone threats, Sher-I-Kashmir Police Academy is conducting 3 days training programme for police officers of UT J&K.
For the first time such course is being introduced and run by the Academy.
Apart from this, three days course on “Cyber forensics” for Prosecutors under CCPWC scheme sponsored by MHA New Delhi GoI also commenced in the Academy today.
On the inaugural function, Mohammad Suleman Choudhary, Deputy Inspector General of Police Udhampur Reasi Range was the chief guest.
Mohan Lal, SSP, Deputy Director (Indoor/Training) welcomed the chief guest on behalf of the Director SKPA. He briefed the audience about the agenda of the courses and informed that faculty from the renowned institutions of national as well as international level has been arranged in consultation with the SoECE Department of SMVDU Katra.
In his inaugural address, Mohammad Suleman Choudhary stressed upon the participating officers that Unmanned Ariel Vehicle (UAVs) are among the major growing challenges of present time. He underlines the uses of UAVs in law enforcement vis a vis maintenance of security at IB and LOC besides uses in day to day challenges for the law enforcement agencies. He lauded the efforts of the Academy administrations for taking initiative in organizing such courses. He also laid emphasis on the importance of cyber forensics in the field of investigation and awareness of threats in the field of Cyber Crime.
Among faculty from SKPA Udhampur including VK Jamwal, SSP Deputy Director (Outdoor), Vinay Kumar, SSP, Deputy Director (Administration) and Ramesh Kumar Private Secretary to Director SKPA, Tahir Hussain, AD (Indoor).
The inauguration was attended by the coordination team of SMVDU Katra which included Dr Ashish Suri, Assistant Professor and Dr Sachin Kumar Gupta, Assistant Professor along with three associates.
The courses are being coordinated by Sunmati Gupta AD (Q), Chander Mohan, Inspector, Incharge Trainings and Nayeem Abbas Hamdani, Junior Cyber Consultant SKPAU.
