DODA: Bhalla Police worked out two theft cases within 24 hours by arresting two burglars along with stolen items.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged at Police Post Bhalla by a person namely Arif Sajad (Site In-charge of M/s RK Gupta & Co) regarding theft of crash barriers installed at various places on the road in Bhalla area by the firm under project PMGSY JKRDA.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 27/2022 under Section 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Bhaderwah and investigation started.
During the course of the investigation, a team from Police Post Bhalla led by PSI Ankush Sharma after getting some clues through reliable sources arrested the thief, who was identified as Mohd Sharif Mir, son of Rehamtulla Mir of Shiva District Doda. On his disclosure, police team recovered the stolen property within 24 hours.
Meanwhile, a complaint was lodged by a person namely Nixon Junior Engineer STD Bhaderwah regarding theft of HT poles and rail poles from Bhalla area.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 30/2022 under Section 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Bhaderwah and investigation was set into motion.
To work out the case, a team from Police Post Bhalla led by PSI Ankush Sharma was constituted, which during investigation arrested the accused identified as Mohd Yousuf, son of Ghulam Mustafa of Bhella Tehsil Thathri.
The police team also recovered the stolen items within 24 hours. The arrests and recoveries were made under the supervision of SHO Bhaderwah Inspector Jatinder Singh Rakwal, SDPO Bhaderwah Abdul Ghafoor and Additional SP Bhaderwah Mohd Aftab.
